Product Launch Events

A launch event exists to compress the gap between a product becoming available and the people it is for understanding what it does. This page covers what that requires, and the DigiFX services and press mechanics that support it.

01What a launch has to accomplish

A launch event fails in a predictable way: the audience leaves impressed and unable to explain the product to a colleague. Avoiding that means the event has one job, which is to make the product's purpose legible, and everything else is subordinate to it.

Three things carry most of the weight. A demonstration of the product doing real work beats any description of it, and it should run against the actual product rather than a rehearsed video. The problem statement has to come before the feature list, because a feature only lands on an audience that already feels the constraint it removes. And availability has to be unambiguous by the end: what someone can use today, what is coming, and where to check. An audience that cannot tell the difference between shipped and planned will discover it later and treat the whole presentation as sales copy.

02Formats

Most launches now resolve into one of three shapes. A streamed presentation reaches the largest audience for the lowest cost and is the default for a software release. A hybrid event adds a room of press, partners, and customers, which is worth the expense when hands-on time or on-record reaction matters. A briefing series replaces the single moment with a sequence of smaller sessions, and tends to produce better-informed coverage than a broadcast does.

Live Streaming Services is one of three core capabilities in the DigiFX Event Management line, alongside Virtual Conferences and Webinars, and product launches are named directly in its published scope. The offer covers end-to-end delivery: the technical execution of the broadcast and the audience interaction layer on top of it. Webinars cover the adjacent case where the goal is a product demonstration to a smaller, self-selected audience rather than a broad announcement.

03Press mechanics

The press kit is the part of a launch that determines coverage quality, and DigiFX maintains one. It carries the company boilerplate, fast facts, and brand assets, so that a journalist writing to deadline does not have to reconstruct basics or guess at figures.

Two mechanisms matter around timing. Announcement assets are made available under embargo, which lets coverage be prepared in advance and published at the moment of release rather than hours after it. Advance briefings, review access, and interview availability are arranged through the press contact, which is how a reviewer gets enough hands-on time to write something substantive.

For the Media Console specifically, the press kit records public availability since July 2026 and refers to an upcoming launch campaign.
