DigiFX does not manufacture a phone or a tablet. In a DigiFX deployment, mobile devices are client hardware: the Hardware Solutions line supplies the power they draw and the network they join in the field.

01Powering mobile devices away from an outlet

DFX CyberPack is the mobile power product in the line. It is described as universal charging support for smartphones, laptops, tablets, and operational equipment, with quick-charge capability intended to minimize downtime.

Its power handling is described as smart distribution with real-time battery monitoring, and its safety features are listed as over-charge protection, thermal management, and short-circuit prevention. Input options are listed as solar, USB-C, wireless, and traditional charging, which means the pack itself can be replenished in the field rather than only at a base.

Physically it is presented as a ruggedized casing built for harsh operational environments, in a lightweight ergonomic form intended for transport during field work.

02Getting mobile devices onto a network

DFX Archway is the wireless hotspot product. Where mobile devices are involved, the relevant claims are adaptive network management that allocates bandwidth across all connected devices, encryption protocols applied to the network traffic it carries, and compatibility described as covering a wide range of devices.

Archway is presented as compact and portable with an extended battery life, and as configurable either by plugging it in as-is or by customizing its settings for a specific deployment. Practically, it is what a phone or tablet associates with when there is no usable local network.

03What is not documented

The published hardware pages do not state:

  • Which phone or tablet models, operating systems, or minimum OS versions are supported
  • How many devices an Archway serves at once, or the wireless standard and bands it uses
  • CyberPack's battery capacity, output wattage, or the number and type of its ports
  • Whether any DigiFX software runs natively on phones or tablets

Anyone specifying mobile devices for a DigiFX deployment should confirm these directly rather than infer them from the product pages. This page will be expanded once the compatibility details and any mobile client software are confirmed.
