Wearable Technology

DigiFX does not currently publish a wearable device. This page describes how body-worn and carried equipment is supported by the hardware that does exist, and it should be rewritten if a wearable ships.

01Nothing in the published line is a wearable

The Hardware Solutions division lists nine products, and each one falls into a different class:

| Product | Class | | --- | --- | | DFX Archway | Wireless hotspot | | DFX Stargate | Immersive broadcast box | | DFX Astro G | Flagship immersive broadcast box | | DFX CyberPack | Mobile power solution | | DFX DataCore | Storage and power | | DFX Memory | Memory module extension | | DFX Speed | Processing module extension | | DFX SkyLock | Network encryption dongle | | DFX Lightwave | Interactive touchscreen display |

None of the nine is worn on the body. The closest products to a personal kit are the ones designed to be carried: CyberPack, described as lightweight and ergonomic with a ruggedized casing for field transport, and SkyLock, a dongle small enough to travel with the operator.

02What a wearable in this environment would depend on

If you are deploying third-party wearables — cameras, health or telemetry sensors, comms headsets — alongside DigiFX hardware, three products in the line are the ones that matter:

  • Power. CyberPack advertises universal charging support across smartphones, laptops, tablets,

and operational equipment, with rapid charging and real-time battery monitoring. It is the field power source for anything that leaves the base with a battery in it.

  • Connectivity. Archway is the wireless hotspot, with adaptive network management that allocates

bandwidth across connected devices. Wearables that need a live uplink associate with it like any other client.

  • Encryption. SkyLock is a network encryption dongle that applies hardware-based encryption

across connected endpoints, with configurable access controls and authentication policies. Where wearables are producing sensitive telemetry, that traffic is in scope for it.

None of those three pages publishes a compatibility list, so treat wearable support as something to confirm with DigiFX per device rather than as a documented capability.

03Before this page says more

Two things have to be settled by DigiFX before this page can carry real product information: whether a body-worn or head-mounted product is planned, and whether the immersive broadcast products are meant to feed a headset. The published copy for Stargate and Astro G describes 360-degree broadcasting and immersive delivery but never names the device an audience views it on. Until that is confirmed, this page deliberately does not claim headset support.
