Video production covers everything from the shoot to the delivered file. On the DigiFX platform the editing half of that work lives in Motion, the Media Console's browser-based non-linear editor; the shooting half is delivered as a production service.
01The Motion editor
Motion runs in the browser with no install. Footage enters through the media bin by file picker, drag and drop, or import from your Library. The bin accepts the common delivery formats — MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI and M4V for video; WAV, MP3, AAC, FLAC, OGG and M4A for audio; PNG, JPG, GIF and WebP for stills. Imported files are held as blobs in the browser's local storage and scoped to the project that imported them, so one project's bin does not fill up with another project's footage.
The timeline uses paired video and audio lanes. Dropping a video clip places its audio on a linked lane, and the pair moves, trims and cuts together. The edit grammar is the conventional one: drag to move, drag either edge to trim, the razor tool or Command-K to split at the playhead, Shift-click or marquee-drag to select several clips, and Command-Z / Shift-Command-Z to undo and redo — where one drag counts as one step, not fifty. Frame stepping is the arrow keys for a single frame and Shift-arrow for a second, and the timecode readout is true HH:MM:SS:FF following the project's frame rate.
02Project settings that change the output
Frame rate, resolution and export format are project settings that genuinely drive the engine. Resolution shapes the program monitor frame, so a portrait project previews portrait rather than being letterboxed into a landscape window, and frame rate drives both the timecode and frame stepping. Settings that had no engine behind them were removed from the panel rather than left in place as decoration — every control that remains does something measurable.
03Generated footage
Motion includes an AI Director. Describe a shot, choose a quality tier, and a generated clip arrives in the bin and in your Library a few minutes later, ready to drag onto the sequence like any other media. Generated material is never placed on the timeline automatically; it lands in the bin and you decide where it goes. Generation is metered on the server: the price, model and output ceilings belong to the backend, credits are charged only when a clip actually arrives, and every failure path — including safety blocks — refunds automatically.
04Production as a service
Alongside the tooling, DigiFX runs video production as a service across five lines: commercial and advertisement production, corporate video, social media video, explainer video, and product demos and reviews. Pre-production typically spans one to three weeks depending on complexity and covers storyboarding, scripting, location scouting, casting and scheduling. Post-production is available either inside a full-lifecycle engagement or as a standalone service.
