Onboarding is how a new account moves from sign-up to a first piece of real work. On DigiFX there are two distinct onboarding paths: a public quick start that walks you through configuring an immersive experience, and a first-run flow inside the Media Console web application.
01The platform quick start
The quick start published at digifx.com/guide and summarized on the platform overview page breaks initial setup into three steps:
- Select an environment. Choose a runtime template from the environment selector rather than building a scene from scratch.
- Themes and layouts. Apply a stylized theme and layout to the chosen environment. This step is where the platform's AI content writer is used — you supply a few sentences of direction and it drafts the environment's copy.
- Customize a package. Add integrated components and resources to the runtime until it matches the scope of the campaign.
The same guide page links out to the four catalogs those steps draw from: environment types, themes and layouts, player avatars, and featured components.
02Access to the Media Console
digifx.com/onboard is the gate into the Media Console. It asks for an access code, which unlocks the console and starts the account's onboarding. The page is a credentialed entry point rather than a tutorial — it carries a sign-in link for existing accounts and nothing else.
03First run inside the console
Once inside, a new account lands on a three-step first-run surface:
- Welcome. Names the modules that are live for that account and flags the ones still on the roadmap, so expectations are set before any clicking starts.
- Pick a goal. Four choices, each mapped to a live destination: make a beat (Studio), play a live set (Stage), dig for sounds (Exchange), or just look around (the Hub).
- Loadout primer. Three practical notes about the chosen destination — what is already loaded, how work is saved, and what does or does not consume credits — then a Start button that drops you straight into that surface.
The flow is deliberately cheap to complete. It requires no credits and no existing project data, so a brand-new account can finish it, and it can be skipped entirely in favor of the Hub. Completion is recorded on the user's profile so the flow does not repeat.
04Onboarding components
Several catalog components exist specifically to support this stage: an immersive onboarding process driven by an AI assistant, a customizable onboarding flow configurable per user type, a new-user integration pipeline, a profile setup wizard for shipping and billing details, and cross-platform enablement so the same account signs in on mobile, desktop, and console.
