Multimedia work in the DigiFX suite is split across two modules: DFX Create handles authoring — building the models, scenes, audio, and interactions — and DFX Stream handles delivery, both live and on demand.
01Authoring in DFX Create
Create is presented as a single environment with a drag-and-drop, WYSIWYG interface and preview editing. The production capabilities it lists:
- Modeling and animation — built-in 3D modeling with an animation timeline for interactive and dynamic content.
- Rendering — real-time rendering with support for ray tracing on an advanced graphics API.
- Texturing and sculpting — painting textures directly onto 3D models, plus sculpting tools for shape creation.
- Lighting and environment — advanced lighting dynamics, environmental visual effects, and realistic lighting support.
- Physics — physics simulation with collision detection and rigid-body dynamics for reactive environments.
- Audio — spatial audio for realistic soundscapes, environmental sound effects, and background music.
- Interactivity — visual scripting plus a JavaScript implementation for triggering events and responses.
- Assets — a library of 3D models, textures, sounds, and animations, with support for importing your own.
02Delivery in DFX Stream
Stream covers what happens once content exists. Its delivery layer lists high-quality immersive streams, low-latency delivery, and adaptive bitrate streaming, with 360-degree spherical video, integrated spatial audio, and head-tracking synchronization.
Around that sit the operational pieces: live broadcast with real-time polling, voting, and viewer participation; an on-demand library with organized archives, search and discovery, and playlist management; and a creator toolset covering a production suite, editing and post-processing, and an overlay and effects engine. Content versioning with rollback and archive management applies to published streams as well as source material.
Accessibility and reach features are listed alongside: closed captions and subtitles, audio descriptions, assistive navigation, multi-language streams with auto-translation captions, regional content delivery, and offline download with cross-device sync and smart caching.
03Getting content out
Publishing paths named across the two modules include multi-platform export with automatic optimization for the target, export to popular game engines, app store integration, mobile and desktop delivery, console integration, and dynamic content marketplaces. AR and VR targets are handled through platform compatibility, with ARKit and ARCore integration called out for mobile augmented reality.
04Capture and ingest components
The platform's component catalog covers the input side, and these components are sold with runtime packages rather than inside the software modules:
- Digital Content Uploader — uploader for media resources destined for environments.
- Main Capture System — lidar scanning, anchor systems, and generation for API integration.
- Camera Scene Capture and Device Motion Tracking — Broadcast+ tier, for recording engagement and holding focus on objects in an environment.
- Lidar Environmental Capture, Active Spatial Mapping, and Environmental Texture Engine — Environment+ tier, for building mesh and materials from a real space.
