Social Construct

Social Construct is the community and engagement layer of the Immersive Agency Platform. Where environments hold the content, Social Construct holds the reasons people come back: quests, rewards, progression, and the social surfaces that connect participants to each other.

01The eight subsystems

The Social Construct page documents eight parts:

Real-world exploration. Augmented-reality content anchored to physical locations — scavenger hunts, guided tours, and location-triggered discovery layered over the user's actual surroundings.

Dynamic live events. Scheduled real-time gatherings: keynotes, workshops, demos, and live Q&A sessions run inside the platform rather than streamed alongside it.

Interactive quests. Structured challenges and missions with defined objectives. Quests span design challenges through skill-building tasks and are the primary driver of the reward and progression systems below.

Active reward system. Points, badges, and unlockable perks earned by completing quests, submitting feedback, and participating in the community. Rewards can gate access to premium features and events.

Achievements and trophies. A parallel recognition track for milestones rather than tasks — durable markers of what a member has accomplished, ranging from beginner achievements to long-tenure trophies.

Social integration. The peer surfaces: forums, chat rooms, and interactive events where members ask questions, share work, and support each other.

Player characters. The avatar catalog that members use to represent themselves in-world. Covered in detail in Player Avatars.

Progression system. Experience points and levels that accumulate across quests, contributions, and collaboration. Levels unlock features, privileges, and titles.

02How it connects to the rest of the platform

Social Construct is not a bolt-on. Several entries in the component catalog exist specifically to wire it into a runtime: a Social Construct experience component that provides the interaction framework inside an environment, a Social Construct rewards component that handles the earning and redemption loop, and a geo adventure activity component that supplies the location-triggered experiences behind real-world exploration.

That means a customer building an environment does not have to choose between commerce and community. The same runtime can carry a storefront, a broadcast, and a quest line, with progression state shared across all three.

03Practical notes for operators

Quests, rewards, and progression are all content that someone has to author and maintain. Before committing to a gamified campaign, plan for who writes the quests, who sets the reward thresholds, and how often the achievement set is refreshed — an unmaintained progression system reads as abandoned faster than no progression system at all.
